Maggiescroft Cumbernauld.
Falkirk tight lines attended Maggiescroft on Saturday 3 February, six members attended on a cold and frosty morning.
The fish had a good day with the conditions not the best for fishing, but novice and first timer Jock had a good spell mid afternoon in landing five carp and was enjoyed himself so much, with meat baits banned, he ate a tin of spam, that he had brought along for the occasion, no references will be mentioned with regards to the sliced chop pork.
Alistair seemed to be enjoying the sweetcorn more than the fishing and Mij was pictured with a ghost carp which can be seen on the album page along with some of the members who attended on the day.
A fine day out and well worth a visit at five pounds for the day. Gary was looking to the season ahead by snapping up some bargains in the well stocked on site shop. Full eating facilities are also available at this venue. Jimmy bubble made full use of the catering facilities by snapping up all the snowball cakes.
Future coarse outings are planned for the season and all enquirers should be directed to Scottie the coarse fishing organizer for Falkirk tight lines. New members are welcome and should email for details.
