You must contact RNH before fishing these waters due to the bird life, hatching and nesting and gain permission to fish the Isle.   Kinloch River  The water was low, fished mid afternoon in low light,  plenty of offers with one hook up a sea trout that got away.  Flies used Greenwell's Glory, Kate McLaren, Teal blue and silver, Zulu and Black spider down to size 16.  Midges high be prepared at all times for an attack of the wee Guys and Gals.  Yes they are only here for twelve hours but cause mayhem when they come out, big time they are resident all over the Isle.  Nice river roaming into spectacular views and wildlife. Loch Gainmhich     A bit of a slog to get there with spectacular views and sightings of the resident Red Deer who wander around the mountainside.  Started off with knocks and no real takes until putting on the Dry fly, first cast fish, Hawthorn fly Size 16.  After a few hours the wind started to pick up so changed to a Bibio size 14 which produced a few more fish.  Quality wild Brown trout in the 16 oz. size.  The difference here is the weather can change at any time so be prepared to leave ASAP.    Long Loch   Another fine Loch the biggest on the Isle, with fantastic views and wild life.  A good two Hours fishing produced two trout under the pound mark with top flies  Zulu and Black Gnats size 14.    The weather turned rather nasty with driving rain, low cloud and strong winds, but I managed to hook into hard fighting browns. Spectacular sport on the fly and not to be missed this Loch is a must for any flyfisher interested in fantastic views and wild life.  Only fished for a couple of hours, due to weather conditions, this Loch is well worth a visit.  Brown trout in the 16oz. class and upwards.  There is plenty of fly life in the loch to keep the trout happy.  Stay at the Kinnloch Castle and get on the hills for the spectacular views , wild life and quality fishing.   The weather can turn nasty, with strong winds and low cloud with lashing rain so be prepared to leave asap. Loch nam Ban Mora Another fine Loch with fantastic views and wild life, be prepared for a long walk in with steep rises but not too much of a slog for the active. A good three Hours fishing produced three trout under the pound mark with top flies Bibio, Zulu and Black Gnats size 14. You will have to roll cast on some parts of the Loch. The landscape is unforgiving with heather and rocky outcrops, there are some deep parts on this loch with a deep shelve on the right hand side beside a rocky out crop looking down from the Sgurr side of the loch, which could be holding larger fish.  This is a fine loch where you will enjoy the surrounding area and sport.  With the right weather conditions this Loch could produce some fine sport and a great day out. The weather can turn nasty, with strong winds and low cloud coming down the Loch. Compass and map required for all these Hill lochs due to inclement weather conditions.
